I’ve planned to go to this place for two months already. Initially, I was going to go here with only my bff but along the way, there are two more good friends of mine that we invited along to savor the goodness of humble food. This place is called Waroeng Mama Ong. It was located at Simprug Gallery, South Jakarta. It was not the easiest place to find, but luckily, we managed to see the black signboard at the front of Simprug Gallery. The place was only at the right-hand side from the entrance to this gallery. Last Saturday, I didn’t have anywhere to go then I stumbled upon a restaurant in PIK that’s called Uncle Tjhin. From the name itself, I got the vintage vibe and in my mind, it’s a family restaurant and it will be boring. Along with my BFF, I went here that Saturday. The minute we got into the place, my opinions and thoughts were shattered. Continue reading “Uncle Tjhin Bistro – PIK, North Jakarta”
Do you guys know Pancoran? A place where you could find almost anything in lower price and it’s more like a place with lots of traditional shops but who knows that in Pancoran there is actually a place where you could have high tea with dim sum and you could take a ton of photos just because it’s so insta-worthy. The place called Pantjoran Tea House. I just knew this place when i saw the updates from the fellow bloggers there. So, me and my BFF decided that we need to go there and after we went to FIKA Public Eatery in Sunter, we went to this place with ex-colleague. Jakarta was hotter than ever on previous Sunday. I mean you could literally felt the sun burning up your skin and that wasn’t nice at all. If I’m not mistaken, it was around 2pm. Because of the unfriendly weather, me and my BFF decided to hang out at the dessert cafe called BC’s Cone to chill ourself. I knew it’s not a new dessert cafe, but better late than never, right? We were lucky to be able to park just outside the cafe. PIK were so crowded at that time. I just couldn’t stop complaining about the traffic there. It’s getting worse.

Traveling in Eid Holiday this year was very convenient. The road were almost deserted, it felt like i’m abroad. That day, me and my family was going to have lunch somewhere, we hadn’t decided where to eat until I remembered that there’s a french restaurant in Galleries Lafayette at Pacific Place. I remembered the name is Liberte but I didn’t know the exact position of the cafe. It didn’t took us long to find it because there was this big glass with Liberte sticker on it. It was like only 11am, so there was no waiter that guide us inside but fortunately there was a waitress that saw us and hurriedly greet us and took us to the best spot in the restaurant. When I was going into the restaurant, there’s this French atmosphere all around me; with the beautiful wall decorations and tablescape. I’ve always loved anything French. It gives me a feeling of being in love, warm, and it feels like home.
Last Saturday was my day out with my family. They insisted that they want to try something more French, so I found out that this restaurant was not bad in any review and it had great interiors. Off we went to this place named Wilshire. I heard that they just moved to Senopati area on the second floor of Colette & Lola, Senopati. The Wilshire sign was actually quite big but it was like somehow covered partially by the lush trees around the road so you have to pay a little more attention to the golden sign. Wilshire located at the right hand side of the road. There’s a valet parking outside the restaurant in case you are lazy to park your car or there’s no more place to park. Leave it to them but don’t forget to get your valet ticket.
