Uncle Tjhin Bistro – PIK, North Jakarta

Last Saturday, I didn’t have anywhere to go then I stumbled upon a restaurant in PIK that’s called Uncle Tjhin. From the name itself, I got the vintage vibe and in my mind, it’s a family restaurant and it will be boring. Along with my BFF, I went here that Saturday. The minute we got into the place, my opinions and thoughts were shattered. Continue reading “Uncle Tjhin Bistro – PIK, North Jakarta”

Doctor Strange – Movie Review (No Spoiler)

“You think you know how the world works. You think this material universe is all there is. What if I told you the reality you know is one of many?” – The Ancient One

This morning, an email popped up and I saw that Doctor Strange will be shown at the cinema starting tonight. The email made me totally happy because I planned to watch this for a long time. My last movie was a superhero kind of movie but it was already like three or four months ago since I watched it. Yesterday, I went to the cinema near my neighborhood. Surprisingly, the theater was not full at all, many vacant seats were available to be taken except they were not. I mean this is a freaking Marvel movie. Who doesn’t watch Marvel?

Liberté – Galleries Lafayette, Jakarta

“In France, cooking is a serious art form and a national sports.”

Traveling in Eid Holiday this year was very convenient. The road were almost deserted, it felt like i’m abroad. That day, me and my family was going to have lunch somewhere, we hadn’t decided where to eat until I remembered that there’s a french restaurant in Galleries Lafayette at Pacific Place. I remembered the name is Liberte but I didn’t know the exact position of the cafe. It didn’t took us long to find it because there was this big glass with Liberte sticker on it. It was like only 11am, so there was no waiter that guide us inside but fortunately there was a waitress that saw us and hurriedly greet us and took us to the best spot in the restaurant. When I was going into the restaurant, there’s this French atmosphere all around me; with the beautiful wall decorations and tablescape. I’ve always loved anything French. It gives me a feeling of being in love, warm, and it feels like home.

Wilshire – Senopati, Jakarta

Last Saturday was my day out with my family. They insisted that they want to try something more French, so I found out that this restaurant was not bad in any review and it had great interiors. Off we went to this place named Wilshire. I heard that they just moved to Senopati area on the second floor of Colette & Lola, Senopati. The Wilshire sign was actually quite big but it was like somehow covered partially by the lush trees around the road so you have to pay a little more attention to the golden sign. Wilshire located at the right hand side of the road. There’s a valet parking outside the restaurant in case you are lazy to park your car or there’s no more place to park. Leave it to them but don’t forget to get your valet ticket.

That’s how it starts. The fever, the rage, the feeling of powerlessness that turns good men… cruel. – Alfred

This morning, I decided to write a movie review. Can you guess what movie it is? It’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
